Flamingo Beach Resort Completes $6 Million Renovation Program





Oceanfront Property Upgraded Guestrooms and Redesigns Public Spaces

Guanacaste, Costa Rica – 4/8/2008 – Located on the golden sands of a pristine Blue Flag beach, Flamingo Beach Resort stands as Costa Rica’s premier beach vacation spot. The resort has recently completed the second phase of a $6 million renovation program, which includes a redesign of all hotel areas with particular attention to guestroom improvements. The first phase of the construction was completed in 2005.

All 120 spacious guestrooms, including 29 brand new rooms, have been reconfigured and equipped with new furnishings, 29” flat screen TVs, flooring, and safes. Travelers continue to choose from six different room options, from well appointed studios to luxurious suites, with views of the lush forested mountains surrounding the property or the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean.

The resort’s focal point, the main swimming pool now has two interior decks complete with lounge chairs as well as surrounding fountains. Attached is the new swim-up Mangalles Pool Bar, which serves casual lunch items daily along with refreshing cocktails and drinks. Alongside the main pool, the resort has added a “picina de juegos,” a smaller game pool with a volleyball net and accompanying “rancho,” a covered seating area made of straw and wood.

Long-time local favorite Arenas Restaurant has also received upgrades. The on-site venue has been remodeled to include open-air palapas for guests who wish to dine outdoors while enjoying international cuisine bursting with local Costa Rican flavors. Additionally, a second floor terrace was installed, creating space for the new rooftop Bar Arenas, an al-fresco space featuring panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. By night, the rooftop area transforms into the Pelican Nest, a new nightlife addition offering light fare and melodious entertainment.

For more active and adventurous entertainment, Flamingo Beach Resort has continuously adapted by providing an increased menu of recreational activities. The resort lobby houses a Tour Desk where resort staff is ready to guide and assist guests in booking all manner of excursions with reliable and knowledgeable vendors.
